Introduction to the Updated Audit Reports

Content on this page is for a product or feature in controlled release (CR). If you are not part of the CR group and would like more information, contact your CXone Account Representative.

The Activity Audit and Change Audit reports are updating to use the new business intelligence (BI) model. This transition into BI reports opens new functionality and features for you. The following sections highlight the new features for these two audit reports; Actions for Prebuilt BI Reports covers general information about the features that BI reports offer.

These two reports allow you to view general activities across your CXone system. For example, you could view all of the user name changes that occurred during a specific time period. You could also track file state changes, such as a file moving from active storage to long-term storage. The Activity Audit report displays a breakdown of actions performed in different CXone applications, such as logins and logouts. The Change Audit Report displays the details of changes made to CXone existing entities or values, for example, if you change an account's username.

Report Updates

The following changes impact both audit reports:

  • The first time that you open the report as a BI report, a Prompt box appears. In this box, you must enter the initial report parameters that you want to display. If you want to change your Prompt selections, you can click Re-Prompt BI Report Re-prompt Icon in the report header bar.
  • If you want to filter the data on a more granular level, you can use the filter bar or the filter button. Both contain many of the same elements, but the filter button expands a window in which you can search for specific elements, such as an individual user or team.
  • To export all report data, click Share Share icon in the top-right corner and select your desired export format. You can export the report as a spreadsheet or PDF.
  • You can interact with the report table by right-clicking on elements inside the report. You can copy report data or alter the display of the selected data. Additionally, you can select Show Data to open a window that displays all report data associated with the cell that you right-clicked. For example, if you right-clicked User in the Entity column, the window would display all report entries with an Entity of User.
  • If you added either of the existing audit reports as a favorite, you must add the updated versions as a favorite, as well.
